LASU VC Celebrates Students Who Completed LCDC Training

The Lagos State University Vice Chancellor - Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun on Saturday, 25th of May, 2019  celebrated students who completed the Python and Web Development training at the University's Career Development Centre Certificate and Awards Ceremony.

During the welcome address speech by the Centre's Coordinator, Dr. Igot Ofem , She said that 224 students registered for the training, 78 attended it and only 28 students completed the training.

Some of the students who completed the training were full of gratitude and praises for the Centre and their facilitators.
Rabiu Muritala - a student of Arabic Studies had this to say: "One of  the challenges I faced was that it was not easy relating Python and Web Designing to my course of study".

He further said that he will share his knowledge with others who were not able to attend.

Corroborating Rabiu's position, Aliu Mary a student from the Department of Accounting Education said that "the training gave her the platform for self independence and cognitive development".

 

The Vice-Chancellor presented certificates to students who completed the training. Certificates were also given to the Monitors while plaques were given to the four trainers.

 In his remarks, Professor Fagbohun "commended the students who completed the training, saying that posterity will judge them right, because they have redefined their trajectory in life."

In the course of his remarks, the LASU Vice Chancellor revealed that the LASU Career Development Centre is a project dear to his heart and he found a passionate ally in the LCDC Coordinator - Dr Igot Ofem.
